Children of the 90s and earlier, it's an exciting day as Microsoft has unleashed its Solitaire collection for our playing pleasure – and it's totally free.

Yes, Solitaire is one of the most played games of all time. Granted our only choices back in the day ranged between that, Pinball, or Minesweeper, but it's a brilliant and timeless single-player cards game.

Microsoft's collection offers up a selection of five game modes: klondike, spider, freecell, tripeaks, and pyramid. We've also got daily challenges to look forward to. In these we'll have challenges to complete each day over the five game modes and earn badges and rewards for our efforts.
