Melvor Idle launches new Throne of the Herald DLC with new monsters and dungeons
Jagex has announced an exciting new DLC for Melvor Idle, the studio's RuneScape-inspired idle game on mobile and on PC. Titled Throne of the Herald, the premium expansion will welcome new monsters and dungeons into the fray, along with an increased level cap of 120 plus cross-platform mod support.
In Melvor Idle, players can expect to experience an idle game with an in-depth combat system where they can tinker around with 8 skills and 15 non-combat abilities. There are more than 1,100 items and over 40 pets to collect as well.
As for the Throne of the Herald expansion, players can experience a new adventure along with fresh slayer areas and an epic final boss. The highly anticipated Township skill will also add a management sim-esque feature to the game as players manage resources in town.
"We are incredibly excited to be launching the Throne of the Herald expansion for Melvor Idle - bringing a huge amount of new content to the game for our great community to explore and enjoy,” says Brendan Malcolm, Games by Malcs founder and creator of Melvor Idle. “When I started working on Melvor Idle back in 2018 I never imagined we’d be here right now releasing our first DLC, with the support of the studio that most inspired me in the first place. This is by no means the last update we have in mind for Melvor Idle, and I look forward to working with Jagex Partners to deliver even more great content to our community.”
"We are extremely proud to be supporting the ongoing development of Melvor Idle. Right from the start Brendan and Games by Malcs have been perfectly aligned with our core values and seeing what they have been able to achieve with the game so far has been an absolute pleasure. We are delighted to see the launch of the first expansion and look forward to continuing to support Games by Malcs with future releases,” says Thomas Hopper, Senior Producer for Third Party Games at Jagex.
Melvor Idle: Throne of the Herald is available on iOS and Android for $4.99 or your local equivalent.
