How to unlock Ebony Maw in Marvel Strike Force

The Ebony & Maw event is currently in play and will be available for an extended period of time. You may have all other members of the Black Order and have been struggling to unlock Ebony Maw. That’s ok, I was there before myself. This guide will show how to unlock Ebony Maw as fast as possible!

As stated before, Ebony Maw is a legendary character who has his own legendary event: Ebony & Maw. Legendary characters can only be unlocked by completing a certain amount of levels of their event. The main requirement to be able to participate in this event is having Inhuman allies available.

Inhuman Members:
  • Black Bolt
  • Karnak
  • Quake
  • Ms. Marvel
  • Yo-Yo
  • Crystal

With six Inhuman-tagged characters, you have a bit of flexibility for creating an effective team to unlock Ebony Maw. In my experience, your best bet is to use this lineup: Black Bolt, Yo-Yo, Quake, Ms. Marvel, and Crystal.

Black Bolt is the leader of the Inhumans. His passive and ultimate abilities easily place him at the forefront of this squad. Sonic Scream, his ultimate, dishes out 500% damage to all foes. On top of this, any enemy killed by Black Bolt cannot be revived at all. Cool, right? I know. Yo-Yo is the fastest character in the game. Her turn rate and speedy attacks cripple multiple enemies at once. The main benefit of Yo-Yo is her basic attack, which dishes out 270% damage to the primary target, and will call for an assist from an Inhuman ally. Ms. Marvel is a solid choice for an Inhumans lineup. The main asset of Ms. Marvel is her regenerating ability; Rejuvenate. Rejuvenate allows Ms. Marvel to bounce back and restore a whopping 23,000 Health. Oh, and if that wasn't enough, she also gets an added bonus of 50% of her Max Health. Talk about a major health boost! Crystal is pretty cool to see in action, being that she manipulates fire and ice. Her most notable benefit for this squad is her passive ability, Second Wind, which heals the first Inhuman ally who drops below 50% health, for 40% of their Max Health. On top of this, Crystal also removes three negative effects from that injured ally.

Lastly, Quake is considered the weaker link of the team. You could swap her out for Karnak, but I recommend using Quake instead because her ultimate ability, Earthquake, targets all enemies for 320% damage, on top of applying Offense Down for one full turn.

Let’s keep it short and say matching up against a complete Black Order team is not what you want. Especially considering Ebony Maw’s passive move - Envoy Of Thanos, granting a 20% Max Health and 30% Resistance boost to his Black Order pals throughout the match.

If you've got the guts to take on this intense event for a huge reward, then go ahead and dive in.
