Waluigi and King Boo to join Mario Kart Tour in its new Halloween themed tour

As Halloween approaches more and more games are releasing their spooky-themed content for their games. Mario Kart Tour is no exception and is adding new maps and characters to the game to celebrate the supernatural season.

First up, players will be able to drift around a course from Mario Kart's past when Luigi's Mansion arrives in the game. This course was originally found in Mario Kart DS and makes a perfect edition at this time of year when you want something a little more spooky to accompany the equally terrifying looming threat of a blue shell.

In other course news, Waluigi Pinball will join Luigi's Mansion on the next tour. This course will see players weaving their way through a pinball machine dedicated to gangly purple alternative to Luigi. Of course, you can't add a course dedicated to Waluigi without adding the man himself.

So, whilst cries for his inclusion in Super Smash Bros were never likely to bear fruit, his addition to Mario Kart Tour was more of a matter of when. And that appears to be next tour, according to a Tweet from the official Mario Kart Tour account. His special skill will be offence orientated, though no more details were provided than that.

Finally, if you're going to have Halloween content, there's got to be a ghost floating in there somewhere. Fortunately, the world of Mario is well prepared for that and King Boo will be added to the game next tour alongside the other courses and racer mentioned here. No details whatsoever were given about his special skill, just that it would be fit for a king.

Mario Kart Tour is available through the App Store and Google Play now. It's a free-to-play game with in-app purchases. If you're just getting into Mario Kart Tour and are in need of some help, then check out our handy guides to get a starting boost.
