Next week at E3, US gaming accessories specialist PowerA will unveil the MOGA Mobile Gaming System - the world's "first and only complete mobile gaming system".

Basically, the system features a mobile controller, game titles created with robust development software, and a unique library app that makes MOGA-compatible games extremely easy to find and share.

The controller connects to your Android-powered device via Bluetooth, and packs dual-analog sticks; two shoulder buttons; four action buttons; and standard Home, Start, and Select buttons.

A second Pro Controller will be released at a later date for those of you who crave a console-style pad, but details on this peripheral haven't been issued yet.

The win

"Bite-size, casual mobile games are certainly fun, but they can fall short of what serious gamers want. Mobile devices are capable of console-quality graphics today, but providing precision control is the key," John Moore, PowerA's vice president of product development and marketing, said.

"With MOGA we are unleashing the power of today's smartphones and tablets to enable console-quality gaming experiences that you can enjoy any time and anywhere."

Companies like Gameloft, MachineWorks, Namco Bandai, Sega, Atari, and Ratrod Studio Inc have already agreed to support the platform with N.O.V.A. 3 - Near Orbit Vanguard Alliance, Duke Nukem 3D, Sonic The Hedgehog 4: Episode II, and more.

The MOGA system, which will initially support Android 2.3+, will be available in the latter half of this year.
