7 reasons you have to play Lineage 2: Revolution

The hotly anticipated Lineage 2: Revolution has finally landed on iOS and Android. It's a sequel to the PC MMORPG and it plays almost entirely the same, just on your mobile.

On a platform in which a huge chunk of games claim to be an MMORPG, do we really need another one?

That's what we're here to prove. Lineage 2: Revolution is definitely worth your time and here are seven whole reasons why.

It's a actually an MMORPG

Many a mobile game has claimed to be an MMORPG, but the vast majority of them are being incredibly liberal with the term.

It stands for massively multiplayer online role playing game, and that's entirely representative of what's on offer in Lineage 2.

There's a massive world to explore and you can do so alongside a ton of other players - friends or otherwise. This is an MMORPG in the true sense of the term.

It's breathtakingly gorgeous thanks to the Unreal Engine 4

Lineage 2 looks almost exactly like the PC game, and that's made possible by the excellent Unreal Engine 4, which it was developed in.

As a result, exploring the world is a true delight, and you might even be fooled into believing you're playing a PC game.

If you've just got a shiny new iPhone X, this is a great game to dig into, thanks to its lovely visuals.

The clan battles are absolutely enormous

If you're the sort of player that loves playing alongside a horde of friends, you'll love what's on offer here with clan wars.

You can assault a castle alongside your friends to win it in your clan's name. If you love huge PvP battles, you'll get a kick out of it.

There's a ton of content and you can level up to 260

Suffice to say, there's a lot to do in Lineage 2. You can go out and kill monsters, complete quests, battle through challenging dungeons, PvP, and get new equipment.

And that's just scratching the surface. You can also just kick back with friends and go and explore the nice scenery, or set up a player-driven event.

You'll also be busy for a very long time, as the current maximum player level is 260. Imagine how long it will take to achieve that?

You can chat to your friends in-game

Voice chat is supported right from the get-go, so if you like to get mic'd to the nines with your friends, Lineage 2 is very supportive of that.

No matter the content you want to do, you can do it with friends thanks to this.

There's content for every play style

As we mentioned earlier, there's a lot to do in Lineage 2 - but you don't have to do all of it. There's plenty for the solo player, the coop player, and the PvP player.

Basically, no matter how you like to play, Lineage 2 has your back.

It's completely free

And the best part is, all of it is completely free of charge. All you have to do is head on over to the App Store or Google Play and hit download. Once that's finished, the whole world is your oyster.

Oh, and don't worry about content being locked behind a paywall, as there's none of that here. Just lots of free fun to be had.
