Lego Creator Islands is the inevitable Sim City-like brick building game for tablets

As soon as there were Lego-based video games we knew there had to be a Sim City-style city management game.

Yep, Lego Creator Islands is here at last for tablets.

It's a port of the browser game of the same name. You're even able to log in to your Lego ID account and transfer play between your PC and tablets.

The idea in Lego Creator Islands is simple: construct houses, vehicles, creatures, and whatever else you can on a series of islands.

Each time you build something new for the Minifigures, you earn more yellow bricks to unlock new Lego Creator models. Unlock the Power Digger and you can even make new building lots.

You're also able to unlock new islands to build upon. But you still need to keep an eye on the main island as, sometimes, it needs rearranging.

Lego Creator Islands is supposed to be for children aged 9 to 11, but I'm sure anyone can enjoy building with bricks for a while.

You can download the game for free on the App Store [download] and Google Play [download] right now. There are no IAPs or ads.
