Majesco has a long history with console games - currently riding high with the Zumba fitness craze, not to mention various Cooking Mama titles.

It's not really been into mobile games, however - at least until now.

The publisher has two interesting-looking titles primed for an August release.

Dark, damp

Free-to-play dungeon crawler Legends of Loot (pictured) looks the more interesting of the two.

As you'd expect, you're exploring maze-based dungeons, avoiding traps, obstacles and giant 8 balls (!), while collecting loot and fighting battles.

You do the former from a third person perspective, switching to a static first person view - with simple gesture-based and tilt controls for the latter.

Of course, there are plenty of customisation options in terms of weapons and outfits, while the overall atmosphere is cutesy, verging on the humorous.

Legends of Loot will be released for iOS and Android.

Also cute and humorous-looking is Sci-Fi Heroes.

In this, you select a squad of up to four characters - chosen from classes such as space marine, animal trainer, space cowboy, priest, id master, exxo, healbot, and technomancer - mixing their load out in terms of weapons and equipment to full effect.

40 levels will be available, and you'll also be able to play asynchronously with your friends in what Majesco is calling Social Raids to get more fuel and loot.

Sci-Fi Heroes will be released for iOS devices. There's no word yet on pricing.
