Despite being an in-progress game, the title Legends of Fore might ring a couple of bells for you.
Why? It's the "spiritual successor" to the Bronze Award-winning fantasy roguelike Legends of Yore. Yes, that's where you recognize it from.
After releasing Yore three years ago, Welsh developer Coke and Code is returning to the ideas in its top-down roguelike, but this time it's working in a sci-fi setting.
"The game has you playing a hero exploring the galaxy one mission at a time," solo developer Kevin Glass writes.
"You can choose a class and a race, equip some weapons and get out there, make some money and maybe find a new planet or two."
Legends of Fore is still early in development, with missions, monsters, items, and locations still yet to be added.
Coke and Code's to-do list also reveals that it will have spaceship buying and travel, mercenary hiring, psi powers, weapon mods, and implants.
Intriguing, to say the least. Especially if you're into your tappy roguelikes.
Legends of Fore will be coming to iOS, Android, and PC. You can track is development on the Java forums.
