Wild Rift introduces two new champions and various other additions with Patch 4.1

Riot Games have launched the latest patch for the popular mobile MOBA Wild Rift, the pocket adaptation of their extremely famous PC MOBA League of Legends. This new update brings with it two new champions alongside some new items and item adjustments and other various smaller changes.

As is typically the case for these bigger updates to Wild Rift, we won’t cover every single thing in detail here, so check out the patch preview below. For now, let’s discuss the highlights!

What better place to start than the two brand-new playable characters being added to the game? With this update, we’ve got the bruiser tank Urgot, The Dreadnought and Twitch, the Plague Rat. Urgot is a monstrous hunk of flesh and metal combined into an amalgamation of horror. Part tank, part damage dealer, this top lane-focused character obliterates the competition with heavy-hitting slower attacks.

Twitch, on the other hand, is a mobile attack damage carry who utilises poison in nearly all of his abilities. With his crossbow of poison bolts, the Plague Rat can obliterate enemies with heavy damage over time by stacking up poison, then using those stacks to deal a huge amount of damage in one swoop.

As for the new items, we’ve got a tank item that makes you gain size, tenacity, armour, and magic resist during combat called the Amaranth Twinguard. Then, we’ve got the Mantle of the Twelfth Hour, which will heal you when you get below a certain bit. Finally, we’ve got the Searing Crown, which is a new burn damage item that causes all of your attacks and abilities to do damage over time innately.

As for the rest of the changes, they’re smaller in nature but are worthwhile, so be sure to check out the patch preview linked above. In the meantime, give those two new champions a go by downloading Wild Rift for free at either of the links below!
