LoL: Wild Rift Morgana Champion Guide: Best build, items, and everything you need to know

Morgana, the Fallen, is one of the newest champions in Wild Rift, and a truly amazing one at that. She is a support mage, similar to Lux, who is able to build damage items as well as support items and act as a second carry at times. Her crowd control is one of the best and most feared in the game and could be considered the exact opposite of Blitzcrank.

She is able to stun enemies in place for what can feel like forever, and that's huge in team fights. Paired up with champions like Caitlyn, the duo will make Dragon Lane one of the most dangerous places to adventure into when it comes to Wild Rift. Due to their huge range (both Morgana's and Caitlyn's) laning against them as a duo will be especially difficult.

However, if we're talking about a mid lane Morgana with a full mage build, it's a completely different story. She is not as strong in the mid-lane as she is in Dragon Lane, but she can be a key counter to certain champions. Regardless, if Morgana is ahead in farm and items, she is going to be a force to be reckoned with (just like her sister, Kayle).

In this League of Legends: Wild Rift Morgana guide you'll find everything you need to know about the champion, from her skills and how to allocate them to her build, skill combo, and runes. This is what you will find in the Morgana guide below:

Morgana's skills

League of Legends: Wild Rift Morgana's skills:

Soul Siphon (Passive)

Morgana drains spirit from her enemies, healing as she deals damage to champions, large minions, and medium and larger jungle monsters.

Dark Binding (Skill 1)

Morgana binds an enemy in place with dark magic, forcing them to feel the pain they've caused and dealing magic damage.

Tormented Shadow (Skill 2)

Morgana casts a cursed shadow on an area, damaging enemies who dare stand in her dark circle. They receive magic damage over time, which increases the lower health they are.

Black Shield (Skill 3)

Morgana anoints an ally with a protective barrier that absorbs magical damage and disabling effects until it is broken.

Soul Shackles (Skill 4 / Ultimate)

Morgana unleashes the full force of her Celestial power as she unbinds her wings and hovers above the ground. She lashes chains of dark pain onto nearby enemy champions, gaining Movement Speed towards them. The chains slow and deal initial damage and, after a delay, stun those who are unable to break them.

How to combo as Morgana in Wild Rift:

Morgana doesn't have many combos apart from one main combo that can be used in any situation. That combo is as follows

- Skill 1 -> Skill 2

This super simple combo will rely on you landing the Skill 1 bind, and holding the enemy in place, and then casting the Tormented Shadow underneath the enemy to slowly chip away at their HP. It's a very basic (yet good) combo that is viable for both support and mid lane Morgana.

Here are a couple of other useful tips for playing her:

- Cast Skill 3 on an ally to remove their crowd control effects

If an ally is under any sort of Crowd Control, then Black Shield will automatically remove it. If cast before the CC is applied, the CC will not apply at all (for example, if you use Black Shield on an ally and an enemy like Blitzcrank hooks them, then the hook will only deal the initial damage and not pull the ally).

- Flash -> Skill 4 (Ultimate)

Of course, as a full engage support, Morgana can sometimes pull stunts like Flash -> Ultimate in the middle of the enemy team, which can end up getting her killed, but result in a huge advantage for the ally team. That is always something to consider, especially if the enemy is positioned in a great way for the ultimate to work (if they are all gathered together).

Wild Rift Morgana - In what order to level up the skills?

For Morgana, depending on whether you play as support or mage, you want to adjust the way you level up your skills.

For Mage Morgana:
  • Level 1: Skill 2
  • Level 2: Skill 1
  • Level 3: Skill 3
  • Level 4: Skill 1
  • Level 5: Skill 4

The best summoner spells for Morgana in Wild Rift:

Ignite: Ignites target enemy champion, dealing 60-410 true damage (based on level) over 5 seconds and inflicting them with Grievous Wounds. (Grievous Wounds reduces healing effects by 50%).

Flash: Teleport a short distance forward or towards the aimed direction.

You could swap some of the offensive items (Luden's Echo for example) for some support options, such as Athene's, but in Wild Rift, it's easier to go for full damage Morgana since she is truly powerful at the moment.

Boots:  Ionian Stasis is the ideal boots for Morgana, no matter where you play her since it has great synergy with her Ultimate.
