Lego Star Wars: The Force Awaken love surprises as it suddenly drops on Android

Who's heard of Star Wars? – Everyone? – Good. You'll also know that in a rather unexpected turn of events, Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens made a sudden appearance on iOS last month. In a similar fashion, however, today out on Android with its first chapter absolutely free.

Lego games may not be the most innovative creatures but they're still fun through their repetition, and Lego Star Wars is no exception. Run around, smash things, collect things, get to the end of the level, progress – it's a formula that works.

Where the first chapter may be free on both platforms to lure in hopeful young minds, the subsequent chapters are not so be prepared to splash out about $7-$10 if you want to complete the game.

Grab Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens here on Android, or if you still haven't gotten the iOS version get it on iTunes here.
