LA Cops has style. That's the upcoming Syndicate-inspired isometric shooter and not, you know, the actual cops of Los Angeles.

Set in the 1970s, LA Cops has you controlling two armed police as they infiltrate buildings to shoot up the criminals inside.

While twitch reactions will be your best ally, thinking up a decent strategy to get a clear shot without taking one yourself will be vital.

While the gameplay isn't too unfamiliar, LA Cops does wear an eye-catching visual style.

Developer Modern Dream adapted its colourful texture-lite style from previous game The Button Affair for LA Cops. Then it added inspiration from '70s cop shows for a slightly goofy sense of humour, and hey presto.

The video you can watch above is the first prototype footage of LA Cops. It introduces the basic principals behind the game, such as controlling the two characters as an effective team.

LA Cops will be coming to iOS, Android, and PC once it's finished, which won't be for a while yet. You can find more information on the LA Cops website.
