Kingdom is a side-scrolling strategy game, where you play as a monarch riding throughout your titular kingdom and preparing it against an encroaching evil.
Expanded from a 2013 flash game, your goal in Kingdom is to expand and survive. By collecting coins from your subjects, you can hire defenders, build new structures, clear the forests, and extend your domain. At night, dangerous creatures encroach on your land and your defenses must hold back these otherworldly enemies.
Kingdom's pixel art landscape is brought to vivid life with dynamic shaders, weather, and parallax backgrounds; you'll ride through dense forests, across open plains, past ruins and eroded statues, and alongside wildlife.
After originally appearing on Kickstarter last year, the game won the Nordic Game Program and has been in development since then. Kingdom is coming to both mobile and PC; you can follow its progress on Twitter and the game's TIGSource devlog.
