Just when you thought Kingdom Rush had 'reached' the end of the road, Ironhide Game Studio goes and surprises everyone by releasing a new update for its tower defence classic.

In this update, Ironhide Game Studio adds the Burning Torment campaign. Here, you will face off against Moloch the Archdevil and his hordes of abominations.

There are two new stages for you to fight in - The Rift of Cinders and the portal to Pandemonium - and five new enemy types for you to smash with your towers. These enemy types include demons, flame-belching flareons, and The Cerberus.

Then, there's a boss fight against Moloch himself. You know, to see if you can wrench him off his infernal throne and rid the world of his evil once and for all.

It all sounds very dramatic.

To aid you in your quest, there are two new heroes to unlock. Oni is an honourable demon samurai, while Hacksaw is a gnome tinkerer.

On top of all that, there are the usual Easter eggs, achievements, and minor tweaks under the bonnet.

The Burning Torment campaign update is live right now on the App Store and the Google Play Store.
