Out at midnight: Pulled from the App Store Kawaii Killer gets a non-gore Plushy Edition
Rip up the fluff
Kawaii Killer was previously released on the App Store but was pulled down five days later after Apple admitted it made a mistake.
This was back in July, and Apple said that the reason for pulling Kawaii Killer was due its gory animal killing "not [being] appropriate for the App Store".
Since then, developer Tabemasu Games has been working on Kawaii Killer Plushy Edition. Yes, you guessed it - it's a non-gory version of the same game.
"In Kawaii Killer Plushy Edition, the animals have been replaced by evil plushies, and you have to destroy all of them to save the Kawaii Forest," Tabemasu wrote on its blog.
So, instead of slicing, beating, and maiming cartoon animals, you do the same thing to cartoon plushy animals. The big difference being the complete lack of blood.
This Plushy Edition still has 14 different animals that need to be dealt with in unique ways. There are 36 challenges to beat, a speedrun mode, and 50 achievements to unlock.
Tabemasu also notes that the original, gory version of Kawaii Killer is still available on Google Play [buy], as well as its demo [download].
Kawaii Killer Plushy Edition will cost you £1.99 / $2.99 when it arrives on the UK and US App Stores at midnight. It will also be released on Google Play tomorrow.
