KartRider Rush+, Nexon's upcoming racing game, is now taking pre-registers

Nexon announced that KartRider Rush+ would be heading for both iOS and Android at some stage in 2020 back in March. Whilst there's no word on the release date – beyond that it'll be arriving in the first half of the year – it is now available for pre-register over on the game's official website.

KartRider Rush+ promises to be stacked with content upon launch with five different game modes that you'll be able to enjoy across more than 50 race tracks with 20 karts. Nexon also says that it will offer extensive customisation options to tailor the kart to the player's preferred racing style.

The game modes themselves will consist of Speed Race, Arcade, Ranked, Story and Time Trial. Each will offer their own variation on the racing gameplay. Ranked, Time Trial and Story Mode are all pretty self-explanatory whilst the other two are less obvious.

Speed Race Mode will challenge players to test their drifting skills against others, with success earning them the additional experience that can be used to unlock tougher tracks. Arcade Mode meanwhile will see players either compete in solo or with a team in races with modifiers such as Item Race, Infini-Boost and Lucci Runner.

The game will also have a big focus on social features, which might be a great tool in this current climate. You'll be able to play against friends in real-time races alongside hanging out with their pals in their customisable home area where you'll be able to play an array of minigames.

There's a fairly ambitious pre-register campaign they'll be running alongside it too, though perhaps it's not too surprising given the popularity of its predecessor KartRider Rush. Nexon is hoping to hit 3 million sign-ups before the game gets released. If this milestone is hit then players will receive a whole host of rewards such as Skelemech Kart and Slugger Dao.

KartRider Rush+ will eventually be available on the App Store and Google Play with no specific release date stated beyond the first half of the year. You can, however, pre-register over on the game's official website now.
