Kickstart this: Cateia Games needs $150,000 for its Kaptain Brawe sequel

Cateia Games fancies making a follow-up to its Bronze Award-winning point-and-click adventure Kaptain Brawe. But it needs your cash to do so.

The Croatian team is looking for $150,000 to make Kaptain Brawe 2: A Space Travesty (and to pay Broken Sword writer Steve Ince to pen the story for the sequel).

If funded, this one will see Brawe continue his mission to stop Ursula Unsula from commandeering planets in some corner of the universe. But he finds himself stranded on a remote frozen world here.

This Kickstarter project's stretch goals involve adding gameplay, an orchestral soundtrack, and commentary from the team. The backer rewards, meanwhile, include clothes, posters, a 3D printed figure, and digital versions of the game.

The team defends its use of Kickstarter by saying that "getting the necessary funds to develop a high profile, traditional point-and-click adventure game these days, at the same time as keeping ownership of an IP, is next to impossible".

If the team meets its goal in the next 34 days, you'll get to play the game on iOS, Windows, and Android by around July 2015.
