In Between will combine gravity-bending puzzles and a mature story on iOS and Android
Releasing later this year
In Between is an upcoming puzzle platformer for mobile. Inspired by the stages of grief, each chapter revolves around one of the stages (denial, anger, bargaining, and so on).
Mechanically, In Between is similar to games like VVVVVV and Quell, as you alter the direction of gravity to manipulate objects in the level and move along different surfaces. While the levels will start out simple, with spikes and other hazards to avoid, later stages will introduce clones, creeping darkness, and more.
In Between's visual aesthetic promises a unique and engaging atmosphere: the world shattering like glass when you die and re-configuring upon restart, the background peeling away to reveal story elements, subtle transitions in the narrative sequences, and other artistic touches.
In Between is releasing on PC, Mac, and Linux in August, then coming to iOS and Android devices later this year. You can learn more about the game and download a demo here.
