Ice Wings Plus update adds dodge button and massive bombs as it flies onto Android

The Silver Award-winning Ice Wings Plus has received an update that addresses the problems we found with the game.

Before getting to this new update, though, you should know that the game is now available on Android, too.

Alright, so the biggest issue we had was with the game's upwards dodge mechanic. You had to swipe quickly or shake the game if using tilt controls. It was clumsy.

This update adds an on-screen dodge button that practically alleviates that entire problem.

We also didn't like how the game didn't teach you "which threats require which response." However, the improved tutorial and new information windows that arrived in this update should deal with that.

Also in this update is a new "massive bomb weapon", used for clearing the screen. A double score booster that lasts for 10 seconds is another addition.

Lastly, a new weather system gives each play of the game a different feel by randomly selecting from clear, rainy, and stormy weather.

We already gave Ice Wings Plus a Silver Award, but this update seems to have secured that score further.
