Out at midnight: I am a brave knight is an 'emotional' typing game about one man's life
From cookie stealer to business dealer
Bulkypix is publishing I am a brave knight for iOS at midnight. It's described as an "emotional story about life." Intrigued?
Unfortunately, there aren't many details about how I am a brave knight plays in its App Store description.
It focuses on how it might teach you something about yourself, and how it follows the life of a single man, instead.
However, it turns out that I am a brave knight was originally made in 48 hours for the Global Game Jam. Its page is here, where there are free downloads of the original game for PC.
I've played it and can tell you that this is a typing game, surprisingly.
Scenes play out and you type the right letters to spell out a word. As you do that, a sentence also appears on the screen, narrating the story.
You may end up with a knight on a horse galloping across a night scene, typing the word "DEATH", while the sentence "I am a brave knight" appears.
Obviously, you're supposed to detract meaning and emotions from the combination of these elements as the game moves between fantasy and reality.
If that sounds like something you might be into, you'll be able to pick up I am a brave knight for 69p / 99c on the UK and US App Stores at midnight.
The game will also be available on Android tomorrow.
