[Update] Smiling Bag's retro pinball/platform mash-up I Am Level is now available on Google Play

Updated on September 16th, at 11:00: I Am Level is now out on the App Store, too. Oh, and it's free until the middle of October.

So, if you fancy some pinball mixed with retro platforming, you should grab it for nothing [download] as soon as you can.

You might remember at the end of last month we reported on an interesting little idea.

The more people who watched the first trailer for Smiling Bag's I Am Level, the longer the game would be free for upon its release.

Well, according to a post on Smiling Bag's blog, the game is out on the Google Play Store right now, and it's free for the first 25 days.

Smiling Bag has encountered some "technical bumps" with the iOS version, but it should be hitting the App Store soon.

I Am Level is a retro-tastic platformer in which you control a rolling, brightly coloured blob. You tilt to move, then tap to use the flippers and bouncers over which you roll.

There are stars to bag here, and grabbing all of them means you've cleared the screen. The screens cleverly form a giant map, with certain areas only being unlocked once you've levelled-up your blob far enough.

There are costumes to collect, too, and a brilliant screechy loading screen at the start that will fill gamers of a certain age with warm waves of nostalgia. And give them tinnitus.

You can grab I Am Level from the Google Play Store right now for nothing. We'll let you know when the iOS version is available.
