I-play has announced that its iPhone bowling title I-play Bowling has taken a run-up and flung itself into the Android Market.

I-play Bowling is a cartoony bowling title that uses touch or accelerometer controls to steer your heavy balls down the lanes against nine unique AI characters and between two accursed gutters.

This new version isn’t a like-for-like port of the iPhone original. Instead it comes with more animations and new high resolution textures for both the UI and the environment itself.

If trying to one-up your iPhone owning friends with improved animations is beneath you, I-play Bowling still comes with the same modes and features as the original, like a ‘pass and play’ two-player mode and ‘Build-a-Bowler’ character customisation.

To compensate for the wide range of Android phones out there now, I-play has released an ‘HD’ version of the title at the same price, so Nexus One and Desire owners (otherwise known as the ‘Fancy pants Androids’) can play at a higher resolution than us ‘OG’ Android owners on a G1.

I-play Bowling and I-play Bowling HD are available on the Android Market now for 99c.
