Ouya gets first exclusive game - a prequel to a title that doesn't yet exist

By now, there's a good chance you've seen a headline or two referencing the Kickstarter-funded, Android-powered TV console Ouya.

Well, despite the console not actually existing yet, this currently conceptual hardware has already bagged its first exclusive: a prequel to location-based survival horror game Human Element.

Developed by ex-Infinity Ward employee Robert Bowling's new studio Robotoki, the game will episodically chart the catastrophic lead-up to the events of Human Element.

Oh, and if you're wondering why you haven't played the original Human Element, it's because the game isn't actually out yet.

Ex nihilo

In fact, the Ouya-based prequel for Human Element is due to land before the full game, which is currently on track for a 2015 release on mobile devices, PC, and the next generation of consoles.

Needless to say, Bowling is super-psyched about Ouya's potential - a fact demonstrated by his personal $10,000 donation to the project's Kickstarter page.

The Human Element prequel should appear sometime after Ouya's launch, which, according to its pledge delivery listings, is currently estimated at March 2013.
