Huawei announces dual-core Android-powered Ascend G330 phone
Yours for just £100
Huawei has confirmed the UK release of the successor to its Ascend G300 handset, a phone we raved about earlier in the year for offering so much bang for the buck.
Huawei's Ascend G330 will be available in the very near future exclusively on TalkTalk Mobile, then will appear on other networks in early 2013.
Expected to go on sale for the same £100 prepay price as the G300 or free on contracts starting at £10 / month, the Ascend 330 will benefit from a new 1GHz dual-core processor and Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich).
Like its predecessor, the G330 offers specs that you might expect on more expensive models, such as a WVGA (800x480) display, 5-megapixel autofocus camera with flash, memory card expansion up to 32GB, and a removable 1,500mAh battery.
On the Ascend G330, you get access to BBC iPlayer out of the box and preloaded content from EA, plus Huawei's own HAP 5.1 Android interface that gives quick access to core functions from the unlock screen.
We'll be putting the phone to the test shortly, so watch this space.
