Hot Five: Asmodee Digital has a whopping sale, Apple phases out the iPad Air, and Stellar Wanderer finally hits Android
|

Can you believe it? Another week has come and gone and you know what that means - it's time for yet another Hot Five.

There's been a good mix of interesting newsbits, cracking releases, and - well - some generally great games to play or to look forward to.

But that's enough of my yammering, let's just get down to it.

Stellar Wanderer flies onto Android

Crescent Moon were careful with this one as it took just over a year for Stellar Wanderer to jump over from iOS and rear its head on Android. Despite earning a 6/10 initially, it's been long enough now that whatever bugs previously plagued the iOS version should have hopefully been resolved, but I guess we'll just have to play it to find out.

The iPad Air is no more

It was very un-Apple like to slip this piece of news out into the world so quietly, but as it turns out there were two fairly big bits of information. One: a new colour of the iPhone 7/7Plus has just arrived in the shops, associated with (Product)Red, as well as (RED)-themed accessories. Two: the iPad Air has now been phased out in favour of the new 'iPad', though nothing that phenomenal has changed about it internally.

Asmodee Digital's had a serious sale

If you're new to the mobile gaming world, you'll likely recognise Asmodee Digital for their digital board games, such as Colt Express and Potion Explosion. In fact, seven of their titles are currently up for grabs at either £/$1.99, or £/$2.99. At the point of which this article's gone up the sale's still running, so be quick about it.

Warhammer Quest 2's on its way

You guys got very, very excited to hear that a new Warhammer Quest game was on the way, though I admit I was surprised to see it was being made by Perchang (developer of Perchang). This top-down, turn-based, dungeon crawler may only be in early development, but the shots we've seen so far are looking pretty.

Fingerboard kick-flips its way to iOS

The developers of Osteya: Adventures struck back this week as they brought their newest title, Fingerboard, to iOS. There isn't a whole lot to do in this auto-runner bar dodging obstacles and doing some gnarly finger-tricks, but it's clean, nice looking, and free-to-play.

Well, that's all, folks. Another week rounded up and summarised in a single, simple package. What was your favourite game to come out this week? Let us know in the comments below.

With all that said and done, I'll speak to you again next Sunday for more hot - hot - HOT Five.
