Heroes of Order & Chaos comes to iOS and Android on Wednesday

The world of mobile gaming will receive its first multiplayer online battle arena game on Wednesday with the release of Gameloft's Heroes of Order & Chaos.

In this free-to-play action/strategy title, players will have the chance to play as one of 30 characters as they engage in 3v3 or 5v5 battles set in a unique fantasy world.

We had the chance to go hands on with Heroes of Order & Chaos at Gamescom this year, and predicted that it would be vying for the collective hearts of hardcore mobile gamers when it was released.

PC-based multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) games like League of Legends, Minions, and the Warcraft III map mod Defense of the Ancients have enjoyed great success in recent years due to their singular blend of action and real-time strategy elements.

In MOBA games, players take control of a single powerful hero unit and fight as a team to destroy an enemy's base. To assist the team of player-controlled heroes, less heroic A.I. controlled units spawn from time to time and aid in the assault.

Heroes of Order & Chaos will be the first true MOBA title in the world of mobile gaming, and it will support many features that PC MOBA gamers would expect like a guild system along with A.I. enemies and companions.
