Helmets on Fire! is a 16 bit endless runner chock full of classic game references and out now on Android
Also headed to iOS
Helmets on Fire! is a F2P 16 bit endless runner out now on Android and headed to iOS "soon".
You play as a construction worker who stupidly dug into the ruins of an ancient civilization buried beneath the city he lives in.
This, of course, angered an ancient Egyptian god who's made it his goal to prevent further construction work by killing every last worker in the city.
It's up to you to endlessly run away from this god and rescue your fellow construction workers or you'll be killed in a variety of nasty and brutal ways. Probably.
You can collect power-ups along the way, including armour that makes you invincible, an energy drink that gives you wings, and a mushroom that "teleports you to a world of happiness".
That sounds dodgy to me.
With references to classic video games, pretty retro pixel art, and an original chiptune style soundtrack, Helmets on Fire! is for fans of the old school.
You can get it by heading on over to Google Play [download] right now, or patiently waiting for the iOS version.
