Blizzard sues Hearthstone duplicate on iOS and Android ahead of the WoW-themed card battler's launch on mobile

After creating a Hearthstone "duplicate", Chinese developer Unico is being sued by Blizzard and its Chinese partner, NetEase.

MMO Culture discovered the court case against Unico's iOS and Android card battler, Legend of Crouching Dragon, as outlined in Chinese media documents.

If Blizzard wins the case, a possible $1.65 million may have to be transacted in its favor. Legend of Crouching Dragon would also be shutdown for infringing on Blizzard's intellectual property.

For comparison, this is what a card in Blizzard's World of Warcraft-themed card battler, Hearthstone, looks like.

Below you can see what the cards look like in Unico's Legend of Crouching Dragon.

The designs are undoubtedly very similar, and Legend of Crouching Dragon plays in much the same way as Hearthstone, too.

While Hearthstone is only available in open beta on PC for now, we do know that Blizzard's plan is to bring it to iOS and Android in the second half of 2014.
