HTC launches Sensation XE with integrated Beats Audio
HTC moves to the Beats
HTC has given its high-end Sensation smartphone an update, packing a mightier punch in three departments: processor, battery, and audio.
The Sensation XE is the first phone with integrated Beats Audio, a result of the recent HTC investment in the company.
Keen to push premium audio quality as a reason to buy this phone (and, let's face it, most phones come with pretty lousy headphones), the Sensation XE comes with an exclusive pair of Beats by Dr. Dre earphones, while the phone has special software to enhances the audio output whenever these, or any other Beats products, are connected.
If superior audio quality isn't enough of an incentive on its own, the dual-core processor has been bumped from 1.2GHz to 1.5GHz, while the battery capacity has also increased to make sure you can fully enjoy your newfound love of music.
So you can tell the Sensation and Sensation XE apart, the Beats Audio model has been given an exclusive look, front and back, including the Beats Audio red colouring on the speaker, Android buttons, and a theme on the phone itself.
You'll also be able to control your music and calls from the remote control on the headphones, so you can keep your phone safely tucked away in your pocket.
The HTC Sensation XE will be available from October 1st, initially as an exclusive with Phones 4u stores and online.
