HTC had quite an MWC this year with two big reveals.

First off is the expected first look at the HTC One M9 smartphone. It'll be heading to Taiwan and Europe in mid-March. The US will get it by the end of the month.

There are no pricing details yet, unfortunately.

The M9 is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor. It has 3GB of RAM, comes with 32GB of internal storage, and has improved Wi-Fi over the M8 due to supporting Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 4.1.

The UltraPixel camera that was on the back of the HTC One M8, it has now gone. Instead, there's a dual 4MP UltraPixel camera on the front.

The M9 runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop as expected. It also has its own Sense 7.0 UI interface over the top.

VR Revival HTC Re Vive

HTC's other big announcement at MWC is the HTC Re Vive for PC. While this doesn't pertain to mobile gaming as such, it's still big news for one of its prominent hardware companies.

That's on account of HTC's entry into virtual reality headsets is powered by SteamVR. Yep, this is Valve's VR headset as well.

It has a 1200x1080 pixel screen for each eye and runs at 90 frames per second.

Companies working on games for the Re Vive include Cloudhead Games with The Gallery, Owlchemy Labs with Job Simulator, Dovetail Games, and The Room creator Fireproof Games.

You can find out more about the HTC Re Vive on its website.
