O2 HTC Desire customers face two month wait for FroYo
|

A few months ago, we reported on the upcoming release of FroYo (the latest version of the Android operating system) on the majority of high-end Android handsets.

This latest version (also known as version 2.2) includes Flash 10.1 and 720p video recording support, as well as a wireless hotspot feature.

With a deadline now in place for phones to receive the upgrade in the UK (most carriers have specified a 3-4 week wait), O2 HTC Desire owners will be howling in frustration to learn that the expected upgrade for them, at least, is not set to arrive for another six to eight weeks.

Why it’s taking so long, we’re not sure. More news as we get it.
