Gyro Skate lets you do skateboard tricks with your phone
360 phoneflip!
Are you the kind of person who likes to mindlessly flip and catch your phone when you're bored? And presumably not standing over a hard surface in case you miss?
Gyro Skate is a game that turns your arbitrary phone flips into skateboard moves. It costs £1.49 / $1.99 on iOS and Android.
There's also a free Android demo so you can test it out.
With Gyro Skate, you can throw your phone in the air, flip it around, twirl it, and hopefully catch it, to register about 32 different skateboard tricks.
It's like Tech Deck for a new, phone crazed generation. Or a more contextualized version of that one weird game where you throw your phone in the air as high as you can.
Someone even made a video of them riding a modded skateboard sans wheels, on a trampoline, with their phone fitted inside a cut-out on the deck. Kickflips, shove-its, and more all register in the app.
Of course, you don't need to go to such lengths to enjoy Gyro Skate.
Throwing your phone around haphazardly is probably fine too.
Download Gyro Skate off the App Store or Google Play.
