Recently, there was a huge furore over the world's first 3D-printed gun. If you missed it, read this.

In Naquatic's new iOS and Android game Guncrafter, you can't exactly build a real-life 3D-printed weapon. You can, however, build a virtual 3D weapon. And in the style of Minecraft, no less.

So, pixel-y blocks become your hand cannon, and it's up to you to use some interesting gyroscopic controls to shoot as much of a level as you can before a time limit runs out.

The twist is that you're up against a real-life player. Blast more blocks than your opponent does, and you win. You'll receive a chunk of XP and some coins for your trouble.

As you probably imagined, you can buy more bits for your shooter with coins. To start off with, you see, your weapon is nothing more than a few lumps of wood. Which, in hindsight, is probably a terrible fire hazard.

With a decent number of levels and some intriguing multiplayer battles, Guncrafter should keep you occupied for a fair bit.

Guncrafter is available right now for free on the Google Play Store [download] and the App Store [download]. So, if you ever fancied making a gun out of materials you probably shouldn't make a gun out of, now is your chance.
