If you remember back in September we found out that Bandai Namco was bringing God Eater Online to smartphones sometime this year. Well, Japan is the first country to get their hands on it.

Set years after the events of God Eater 2: Rage Burst, you're thrown into a post-apocalyptic world practically bursting in the war between monsters and humans. God Eater Online takes place in the Himalayas and features a ton of new characters to meet.

One of the major draws of God Eater Online is its focus on having '100 players on the field', allowing you to team up with fellow fighters and battle together to defeat your fearsome foes. By consuming Aragami, you'll gain experience, level up, and increase your stats, aiding you in your fight.

It still remains to be seen whether the interface is going to be a little too busy, especially on smaller screens, but I guess we'll have to wait for the opinions to start surfacing.

If you're a lucky resident of Japan, grab the game free-to-play on the App Store or on Google Play.
