iOS and Android Game of the Week - your vote needed

Each week, thousands of new games hit the iOS App Store and Google Play on Android. Trying to separate the wheat from the chaff is a tough job, and no mistake.

We like to think that we do a pretty good job of it with our news articles, mid-week round-ups, reviews, and features, mind.

But, we want to know what YOU think.

Today, we're asking you to pick the best game that was released on iOS and Android this week (from some nominations), and then we'll present that winner in an article next Monday.

There are loads of places to vote. Leave a comment on this article, reply to our Game of the Week tweet, vote on Facebook, or just say the game's name over and over in your head while rubbing your temples.

The nominations

Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition (iPad) BioWare's infamous role-playing game from 1998 has returned with new story elements and characters; previously unexplored areas; and a fresh lick of paint.

Mutant Mudds (iPhone, iPad) In this rock-solid 3DS platformer, you are charged with guiding a 2D sprite through multi-dimensional stages and blasting pesky mud monsters with a high-powered water cannon.

Mighty Wardens (iPhone, iPad) Grab your sword and a suit of armour and show your friends who's boss in this extremely colourful action-RPG's frantic PvP Deathmatch mode.

Hollywood Monsters (iPhone, iPad) What would happen if Hollywood's infamous movie monsters were forced to act in cheesy rom-coms starring Hugh Grant? Find out in this point-and-click adventure.

Minigore 2: Zombies (iPhone, iPad) In Mountain Sheep's twin-stick sequel, John Gore (plus guest characters such as the Bike Baron) is pitted against waves of flesh-eating walkers, massive penguins, and other nightmarish creations.

Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour (iPhone, iPad) Jump into the battle-hardened boots of both an elite soldier and a terrorist ringleader in this Call of Duty-esque FPS from French publisher Gameloft.

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (iPhone, iPad) You know the drill. Turn up your stereo and listen to classic '80s beats from the likes of Wacko Jacko as you perform drive-bys, complete drug runs, and maim hookers with baseball bats.

SnowJinks (iPhone, iPad) Join siblings Jack and Jill as they duck, roll, and leap to defend their neighbourhood against an onslaught of snowball-packing bullies who are hell-bent on destruction.

Raiden Legacy (iPhone, iPad, Android) This compilation contains four of Seibu Kaihatsu's best Raiden games enhanced with brand-new modes and controls designed especially for touchscreen devices.
