[Update] The PG Readers' iOS and Android Game of the Week - your vote needed
By Harry Slater 28 October 2013
Game Name: Game of the Week | Manufacturer: Steel Media | Format: Android, iPhone, iPad
Updated on October 28th, at 11:40: This week's winner is... not Dead Trigger 2! You guessed wrong, guys.

Instead, the voters picked Robot Entertainment's hack-and-slash space brawler Echo Prime. It's a lightweight action-RPG with a sharp control scheme and feisty firefights.

And while it comes from the guys behind Hero Academy and Orcs Must Die!, this is no strategy game. Outside of picking the best echo power-ups - either from your own arsenal or by borrowing one from a buddy - that is.

At review, we pinned a shiny Silver Award on its lapel and said: "A well put together and entertaining brawler, Echo Prime is a slow burn, but it's worth the effort."

Every week, thousands of new games hit the iOS App Store and Google Play on Android. Trying to find the diamonds in the rough is no easy task, let us assure you.

We like to think we do a pretty good job with our news articles, mid-week round-ups, expert reviews, and comprehensive features, mind.

But, now we want to know what YOU think.

Today, we're going to ask you to pick the best game that was released on iOS and Android from the past week (from the nominations below), and then we'll announce the winner in a glamorous article next Monday.

There are loads of places to vote. Leave a comment at the bottom of this article; answer the poll on Facebook; or create a zombie plague in your lab, and encode your answer in the genetic make-up of the toxin for our scientists to discover.
