iOS and Android Game of the Week - your vote needed

Your favourite game needs you
Product: Game of the Week | Publisher: Steel Media

Game of the Week Android, thumbnail 1
Each week, thousands of new games hit the iOS App Store and Google Play on Android. Trying to separate the wheat from the chaff is a tough job, and no mistake.

We like to think that we do a pretty good job of it with our news articles, mid-week round-ups, reviews, and features, mind.

But, we want to know what YOU think.

Today, we're asking you to pick the best game that was released on iOS and Android this week (from some nominations), and then we'll present that winner in an article next Monday.

There are loads of places to vote. Leave a comment on this article, reply to our Game of the Week tweet, leave a comment on Facebook, or just whisper it into the wind.

The nominations

Shadowgun: DeadZone (iPhone, iPad, Android)

Madfinger's back with the visually impressive Shadowgun: DeadZone. Like its its predecessor, DeadZone is a third-person shooter. This time around, though, real-life opponents are on the menu in this console-like multiplayer blast-'em'up.

Arcane Legends (Android)

Spacetime Studios is arguably the biggest name in mobile MMORPGs thanks to its Legends series. Arcane Legends is the latest member of this free-to-play family, and it brings three classes and a new pet system to the table.

Hunters: Episode One (iPhone, iPad, Android)

Hunters: Episode One finally made the trip over to Android this week, bringing its tactical turn-based strategy ways with it. If you think mobile games could do with a little more home console-like depth, this could be the perfect game for you.

End of Aspiration (Android)

Kemco's back with some more old skool JRPG goodness in the shape of End of Aspiration. It features all the elements you've come to expect in this kind of game, such as turn-based battles and a massive explorable fantasy world, but with a more mobile friendly auto-save system.

Coaster Crazy (iPhone, iPad)

Ever wanted to design and build your own twisty roller coaster? That's precisely what Coast Crazy enables you to do. It's from the team behind the LostWinds series, so you know it's going to look and play like a dream. Guaranteed.

Arranger (iPhone)

Described as an "interactive musical adventure", Arranger is a little bit different from your usual endless-runners and animal flingers. It presents you with a large retro-tinged world filled with arcade mini-games, boss battles, and wacky characters.

Real Boxing (iPhone, iPad)

The second Unreal Engine-powered game on this list (the first being Shadowgun: DeadZone), Real Boxing is a brutally accurate boxing game from Vivid Games. In it, you must watch for openings and initiate counters in an attempt to bash your opponent's brains out. Nice.

Verticus (iPhone, iPad)

Marvel legend Stan Lee helped in the making of Verticus, which is all about a jumpsuit-clad hero free-falling through the earth's crust to take on a villainous alien race. You can upgrade your weapons, zip up impressive new suits, and even deal with Mr Lee himself as your mission commander.

Beatdown! (iPhone, iPad)

Beatdown! is a heart-felt tribute to the scrolling beat-'em-ups of yesteryear (think Streets of Rage, Double Dragon, and Final Fight). As such, the idea is to stroll from left to right, laying the smackdown on any chump silly enough to give you grief. Fo' real.

Sleepwalker's Journey (iPhone, iPad, Android)

In this dreamy little game, you are tasked with guiding our dopey protagonist safely to bed. To do so, you have to shift platforms and manipulate the environment around him. Add in a suitably dreamy art style and you have a game that's as appealing as a big comfy bed.

Android just got Hunters 1? That game was awesome for its time, now Hunters 2 has got my attention for about a year now I believe. Android seems to always get the scraps long time after.

Anyways, my vote is for Real Boxing, just got hooked on it. Amazing boxing game for iPhone and iPad
