Rumour: Galaxy S III won't be revealed at next month's Mobile World Congress

It certainly looks like the pre-release fervour surrounding the forthcoming (and still unconfirmed) Samsung Galaxy S III is building up nicely.

"People close to the matter" speaking to The Verge today have told the tech site that the South Korean handset vendor has decided not to reveal its next flagship phone at Mobile World Congress next month.

Samsung apparently wants to delay its unveiling so that it can reduce the gap between the various global release dates.

However, these unnamed sources did go on to say that Samsung will have "something interesting" to show at what many consider the most important trade show for the mobile industry on the calendar.

A tablet a day

This suggests that Samsung may well be prepping a new tablet PC to show off at the event, given that the company used last year's Mobile World Congress to unveil the Galaxy Tab 10.1 (before it was taken away and re-designed).

We'll find out whether these rumours and suppositions are correct when the Mobile World Congress kicks off in Barcelona on February 27th.
