Updated August 11th, 4:03 PM - Johan Gjestland's actually just rolled up on the information train and confirmed that Fugl will hopefully soft launch on iOS and Android later this year, with the aim of a Q1 2018 release.

He also said that while the Android version will be releasing the same as the iOS version there's "no promise of feature parity as of now," and will likely support only the newest devices.

Yes, you read that right. Come September 14th Fugl will be launching on Steam Early Access, so hopefully that means a mobile launch (even a soft launch) won't be far behind.
Travel across a colourful land in this endless adventure, shapeshifting from bird to bird, and enjoy a light and carefree experience. There aren't any rules and aren't really any goals - only flying and exploring the vast landscape.

First announced three years ago, Fugl had unearthed a lot of excitement from the mobiles games community. From its colourful voxel graphics to its intriguing and striking creature design, the whole thing was, and still is, dripping with charm. Let's just hope it can deliver an experience worth waiting for.

Though there's still no official launch date on any platform, this is step in the right direction. When asked about its mobile release on the new trailer, Johan responded to the YouTube comment saying: "Yes, mobile (iOS and Android) is coming, but first PC/Mac."
