Sequel to twisted platformer Freeze! adds liquids and brotherly co-op on September 24th

Frozen Gun Games has done well with its Bronze Award-winning monochrone puzzle-platformer Freeze! - it's been downloaded over 11 million times since it came out in 2012.

So it makes sense that there would be a sequel. And yes, there will be once Freeze! 2 - Brothers comes out for iOS and Android on September 24th.

This time, instead of carefully tipping one eyeball monster-thing around the tilt-mazes you'll have to deal with two of them.

Apparently, the guy in the first Freeze! never made it back home after being abducted by aliens. This caused his brother to set out to find him inside the prison mazes.

Having two creatures to manipulate isn't just a case of making the sequel immediately more difficult.

If you watch the teaser trailer below you'll see there are mechanics built around using them in co-operation.

Switches need to be hit in different parts of the mazes. Spinning platforms need to be weighed down. Warp gates need to be travelled through in tandem.

Of course, the titular "freeze" mechanic returns so you can spin the maze around the brothers while they are frozen in the air.

There are also new liquids added for you to slosh around. But it won't be all play: water will haunt you among lethal electric fields, and rocket fuel is described as "deadly."

Freeze! 2 - Brothers will also differ from the first game in how it's priced. Rather than being free to play it'll be a premium game.

You'll be able to purchase all its 100 levels (across four alien worlds) for £1.49 / $1.99. There will be no lite version, ads, IAPs, or anything like that.

Check out its website if you're after more information. Otherwise wait until September 24th so you can check out Freeze! 2 - Brothers for yourself.
