Like a creepy animatronic bear leaping out of the shadows, Five Nights at Freddy's 3 has crept up on us and jumped onto the Android's app shop when we least expected it: the weekend. Gasp!

This one takes place thirty years after Freddy Fazbear's Pizza has closed its doors, when some cheeky entrepreneurs decide to remake the experience in a theme park ride called "Fazbear's Fright: The Horror Attraction".

Once again, you're cast as the security guard who must keep an eye on CCTV monitors, fix lightbulbs and doors, and generally fill your trousers with various bodily fluids.

There's only one decrepit mascot to run away from here - a dude called Springtrap. And you can lure him around by playing audio calls. Even then, previous Freddy animatronics will be around as non-lethal, but still scary ghosts.

And there are also the requisite secrets, easter eggs, and hidden endings to find.

Five Nights at Freddy's 3 costs £2.39 / $3.99 on Android. There's also a free demo. Expect it on iPhone and iPad in the coming weeks.
