First Strike, Swiss developer Blindflug Studios AG's nuclear sim, has launched its highly anticipated multiplayer feature in its latest content update. The nuclear strategy game now lets players nuke their online foes (and buddies) in the latest expansion for iOS and Android devices.

In First Strike's "The Multiplayer Update", players can go to all-out nuclear war online with up to nine players from anywhere in the world. The update is a fulfillment of the fans' long-running request to add a multiplayer feature to the gameplay, because isn't nuking friends just the best?

For years, we received countless messages from fans asking for a multiplayer mode,” says Blindflug Co-Founder Moritz Zumbühl. "Players really seem to love the idea of nuking each other to pieces and proving who is the best worldwide atomic superpower in an online mode. We're excited to announce that we were finally able to make their wish come true and First Strike Multiplayer is here."

The multiplayer update lets players control North Korea, Russia, the USA, or other nuclear powers much like in single-player mode. They can then nuke each other until there's only one nation left. The “Balanced Start” modifier allows all players to begin the war with the same starting condition, while the “Small State Support” modifier offers faster expansion to smaller nuclear powers at the beginning.

If you're eager to nuke it out with your friends for total annihilation, you can download First Strike on the iOS App Store or on the Google Play Store for Android devices. You can also join the community of nukers on the official Facebook page.
