Final Fantasy Type-0 Online announced for iOS and Android, might be coming west
The replacement for Final Fantasy Agito
Square Enix has announced that Chinese developer Perfect World is working on Final Fantasy Type-0 Online for iOS, Android, and PC.
It's to be the replacement for Final Fantasy Agito, which Square Enix cancelled last week, but mentioned it would be "reborn" in some manner. Well, here it is.
Final Fantasy Type-0 Online will be an evolved version of the multiplayer mode in Final Fantasy Type-0. It'll play a little more like a hack-'n'-slasher, apparently.
Type-0 started out life as a PSP game in 2011. It never came west (nor did Final Fantasy Agito). However, the remastered version for PS4, Xbox One, and PC that came out earlier this year did.
As to Type-0 Online, at the moment it's confirmed for Japan in spring 2016. A North American and European version is being considered.
