Final Fantasy Record Keeper and Final Fantasy World Wide Words released in Japan
FF2P
Square Enix has released two new Final Fantasy games in Japan for iOS, and one of them is also on Android.
The first is the one we're already familiar with, Final Fantasy: Record Keeper, for iOS and Android (as you can see here and here, respectively).
In Record Keeper, you play as Apprentice and jump into paintings that transport you to scenes from previous games in the Final Fantasy series.
You'll fight through dungeons alongside Cloud Strife, Zidane Tribal, Luneth, and other familiar faces. The battle system is similar to the touchscreen adaptation of classic FF systems in Final Fantasy: All The Bravest.
Harsh wordsThe other game released in Japan, only for iOS (as seen here) this time, is called Final Fantasy World Wide Words. As the title suggests, this is a word-battling RPG.
As you can see in the video above, it involves having to type out words to perform attacks against monsters. The faster you type the words the more powerful your attack will be.
The graphics aren't classic sprites as they are in Record Keeper, instead, it uses assets from Theatrhythm Final Fantasy.
There's been no official word about either of these games being released outside of Japan as of yet. As always, we're hoping to be see them translated, though.
It's also worth noting that both Record Keeper and World Wide Words are free to play games, supported by IAPs.
