Starship Traveller is Tin Man Games's latest digital Fighting Fantasy gamebook, and it's available right now for iOS and Android

With the latest in its ever extending line of digital Fighting Fantasy adaptations, Tin Man Games has wandered off into space.

The newest release is called Starship Traveller and it's out right now on the Google Play Store and the App Store.

This time around you're gallivanting around space with a big crew, engaging in three different types of futuristic battles, fiddling with the stats of your underlings, and even renaming your ship if you fancy it.

The different combat styles are melee, phaser, and most excitingly of all, starship. Rolling digital dice to see if you wipe an entire spaceship out of existence sounds like fun to me.

Starship Traveller is written by FF co-founder Steve Jackson, and was first released as one of those weird paper books back in 1983. Which means it's as old as me.

By the sounds of it the digital edition is a lot more hands-on, with far more combat and crew options to poke it. That may well appeal to people who find the Fighting Fantasy gamebooks a little on the staid side.

The game is out right now on the App Store for £3.99 / $5.99 [buy], and on the Google Play Store for the same price [buy].

Oh, and if you like screenshots, there's a big ol' bundle of them in the gallery at the top of the page.
