Steve Jackson and Tin Man Games bringing Fighting Fantasy novel House of Hell to Android

Games Workshop co-founder Steve Jackson has teamed up with developer Tin Man Games to bring classic 1984 Fighting Fantasy novel House of Hell to Android.

In this interactive adventure, you take on the role of a lone traveller who seeks refuge from a torrential downpour inside a terrifying mansion that houses a sinister secret.

Your aim, then, is simply to survive the night.

In order to do this, you have to evade traps and blood-curdling hazards, collect equipment, and survive brutal battles with the mansion's many otherworldly inhabitants.

What's new, pussycat?

This digital version of House of Hell is packed full of features that you won't find in the paperback edition, including colourised illustrations and customisable difficulty settings.

Thanks to the same engine that powers Tin Man Games's Gamebook Adventures series, this interactive novel features an automated adventure sheet that automatically keeps track of your stats and inventory.

Finally, there's a bookmarking system that allows you to save pages in case you wander off the beaten track and into the arms or a menacing monster.

House of Hell will set you back £3.99 / $5.99 from Google Play.
