There's more exciting news today as the Japanese favourite, Fate/Grand Order, launches in the US and Canada.

Presented by TYPE-MOON, Fate/Grand Order is a rather complex-sounding visual narrative adventure centred on the Fate/Stay Night franchise. If you're not familiar with the franchise, you take on the role of 'Master' and have to summon and command powerful familiars known as 'Servants'.

Where Grand Order is concerned, 2015 is the final era where sorcery exists. The Chaldea Security Organisation, a group which guarantees humanity's existence through the ages, finds out that humans are likely to go extinct in 2016. In response, agents must be sent back in time to deal with the space-time anomalies that could result in humanity's destruction.

If you're still with me, you can grab Fate/Grand Order free to play on the American/Canadian App Store or Google Play now. There's no word yet on the game's release in further locations, but we'll keep an eye out.

Oh, and if you fancy giving the game a go now it's in English check out Pocket Gamer's handy guide on creating a foreign iTunes account.
