The third place winner at this year's Pocket Gamer Very Big Indie Pitch competition in London is dirt racer Eat My Dust: a retro-fuelled racer with more than a hint of Micro Machines.

The secret to any racer is a good feel and a sharp, satisfying driving model, and Eat My Dust nails both. It just feels terrific to soar around each desert track, grinding up the dirt beneath your tire tracks.

It also has intuitive controls: the car accelerates automatically and you can steer left and right by touching either side of the game.

The game is heavily focused on multiplayer, with real-time races for up to four people. In single player, you can spend your time in time trials (though the developer is looking into AI racers too).
