EVERCORE Heroes is an upcoming "competitive PvE" game with playtest signups coming this weekend

Vela Games has announced an upcoming game titled EVERCORE Heroes as crafted by ex-Riot, EA, Epic Games and Blizzard veterans. The competitive PvE title thrusts players into the world of Lumerea as they fight in real-time teamplay akin to MOBAs and co-op dungeon raids from MMO games.

In EVERCORE Heroes, players can expect to partner up in four teams of four as they try to take down a fearsome boss and compete with the other teams. There will be eight heroes playable at launch, each with their own unique abilities and skills. For instance, master assassin Shade can make quick work of her foes in the blink of an eye while "living wall" Fyn can protect his allies from harm. Zari is the master of Solar-Bow Archery, while Beko can provide support to his team with his healing light.

Our goal has always been to make the game players really want, even if it means breaking the mold,” says Vela Games CEO and Co-Founder, Travis George. “With EVERCORE Heroes, we are building a unique multiplayer experience that brings together skill based co-op and competitive play in a fresh new way. And after over two years of great feedback from early testing, we’re ecstatic to finally share the game with the world."

Vela’s vision is to inspire and unite gamers from around the world through play. We want play to feel rewarding, be skillful, but most importantly be a positive experience for all our players,” George continues. “Our player tests are really key to this. Players who send us feedback will know we are listening, and they will be helping us in shaping the future of EVERCORE Heroes.”

If you're eager to give it a go, you can join the playtest from October 13th to 16th via the official website.
